Hi there this is Rhyana Blakeley here reporting from Insbruck Austria. I am here a couple of days early as I am a part of th estaff team here.
It has been a hectic time prepairing for the congress, but wonderfull as we are a part of a team rainging from 16 to 60 years of age from at least 25 countries from all over the world.
I am writting this email as unfortunatlez severall of the staff members were unable to come. Many members from Columbia and all th emebers from th eUcrain were refused their visas at the last minet. This has effected the staff numers. espeisally the catering team. They had a core group of 40 and they now have only 15. So we are looking for new staff members and volentires.
Staff members.
There are four different sceduals available, you can see them in full on the congress website www.worldcongress2005.org if you go to th elink get involved.
They rainge from working the whole two weeks to either the first or the secound week. depending on what scedual you choose you get 50 to 100 % back on you registraition fee, and what ever scedual you choose you only have to pay 15 Euros per day for food and accomadation. So for those of you with little money it could be away to come to congress. You work 6 hours per scedualed day.
Volentires
Volentires will get their meals for free on the days that you work.
Why do it?
Yes why come to congress and work?
Well it can help make it cheaper of course. Also if you are worried about meeting people or want to meet different people this is an amazing way to do. In 3 days I have meet so many new people and really feel a saence of shairing between us. though we are divided into different teams we eat breakfast together, and have a daily meeting, where information is past around and we just talk, and daily latihans, this will continue throughout congress. And we get a big party on th e28th. Also working at the congress is really a way to feel a part of the whole thing. It is often hard work but it feels so worth it to really be involved. Some people have just turned up a couple of days early and all ready have got involved. There is really a great atmosphere here.
How?
I am afraid that I do not have all the details with me, but felt that if I waited to get them all I would not have time to write. If you want to sign up as either Staff or volentires you can do so on the website, putting catering down as your choice, or just make it knewn when you arrive. If you want to knew more you can reply to my email which is rhyana_b@hotmail.com, though I will be honest and say I may not get a chaince to awnser before congress starts. But at least think a bit about it.
