All Subud Radio Latest

Dear All

A lot has happened since the inception of Subud Radio nigh on 2 weeks ago, so I thought I'd give you all the chance to 'catch up' so to speak. In a period of 5 days over the Easter weekend we had 995 connections! That's an impressive number of listeners! Over the next couple of weeks I will be creating and updating a Subud Radio page for www.subudlife.com This will detail broadcasts, listen again functions, podcasts and information as to what's new and exciting for Subud Radio (SR). To date, the feedback for this project has been positive and I have been in close communication with the World Subud Association (WSA)regarding the possibilities. From early May we are looking to bring 2 new DJ's on line. When this  is successful and we can obtain the right level of funding /sponsorship we will be looking to extend the broadcasting facility worldwide (DJ's in every country - 24 hour Subud Radio - wow!).

I will be broadcasting on MONDAY nights from 21:30 to 00:30 GMT+1 and on FRIDAY nights also from 21:30 to 00:30 GMT+1.   I am also looking to add a weekend show too over the next 4 weeks. Right now, the future of SR hangs delicately in the balance since the member who offered us the machine to broadcast from, has actually promised the machine to another member for another project! We need regular funding from entrepreneurs, enterprises and The Wings to bring Subud radio to the next level of existence, in exchange for advertising on the Subud Radio page and with the possibility of running interviews regarding our 'sponsors' activities. Please email your contact details to me at radio@subudlife.com  for details. We are looking to obtain around £1,000 (in the first instance) to buy a portable broadcasting machine enabling broadcasting to continue and opening the possibility of broadcasting live from Bangalore and then the UK National Congress in August of this year. Please help.

To tune in visit the SR link on the Subudlife home page, which I believe will be up permanently very soon as we have organised a schedule. So, sit back, relax, tune in and enjoy the wonderful world of Subud Radio.    Esaias

Subud Youth Bucelas Camp Summer 2006
Posted by celia
Wednesday, April 19, 2006

Hello everyone!

Subud Youth Portugal are organising a really nice holiday at Bucelas. It's not a working camp, but it's also not just a "doing nothing" camp... It's a Community Summer time get-together at Bucelas and it's going to take place from the 10th to the 20th August.   Bucelas is a piece of land, with approximately 10 hectares, owned by Subud located 20kms north of Lisbon. It has several buildings: the Albergaria, the Stone House, the Youth Hostel with a bull ring near by, the Latihan Hall and three wooden chalets.

The main aims for this event are to get together and raise funds to rebuild the youth hostel. This building belongs to the Portuguese Subud Youth and we need money to improve it, so we can organize other camps and gatherings. All of you who would enjoy spending your holidays close to nature, going to the beach, getting to know the culture of , living as part of a Community in the beautiful farm of Bucelas are more than welcome.  It will be 10 days of meeting new people, new places and HAVING FUN!  More information will be sent out as soon as possible. At this moment we are still working on the programme, so if anyone has a good idea for a workshop, outdoor activities, etc, you can contact me at: ineseco@gmail.com

Love to all from the Portuguese Youth Team

A message from Director of Subud Radio Esaias Hobbs:

Just click the Subud Radio Live link to hear live streaming directly to your PC.  If you have a PC you will need Real player, which you can find at the bottom of the Subud Life home page.

Now just to clarify, this is entirely experimental radio, it's by Subud for Subud. If you'd like to get involved then please email us at the studio: radio@subudlife.com  Getting involved can mean anything from adding 'subudradio' and 'esaias_hobbs' to your skype contacts www.skype.com  to making recordings of anything that interests you and sending it in - preferably as an mp3 file.

The idea is to create a live forum for discussion and interviews on any subud and life related topics - a few examples might be: ................

Zone 4 Zone 4 meeting in Hungary, 14 - 20 June 2006
Posted by anwar
Wednesday, March 22, 2006

N.B. Zone meetings are delegate meetings as well as gatherings of Subud members.

As we all know our Zone 4 is blessed with a fascinating diversity of cultures, languages, religions, and traditions. So much to share, and the latihan helping us to feel close. And we are faced with an incredible discrepancy of living conditions. We are only able to meet, if those who can, support those who otherwise would not be able to attend. Delegates who need support are traditionally covered (Zone 4 budget and registration fee). But for members from low-income countries we need to fundraise. And we need pledges (at least) rather quickly, because visa applications may take time. We have discussed to „make some money“ by increasing your accommodation prices, because this would be a funding which we can count on. But we have decided not to do this, just to trust your generosity. Please consider how much you can help all of us to meet, how much you can donate. Thank you ! June 14 is arrival day. June 15 will be kejiwaan / helpers day, as agreed in Innsbruck. On Sunday, June 18, Subud Hungary has prepared an afternoon excursion with Hungarian dinner. Nobody should miss that ! The rest of the agenda will develop in due course. This is your meeting. Please give us your inputs as to the programme, what you need and what you want to offer and to share. Here you find detailed information and the registration form. Please spread the news. We are looking forward to a great meeting at lake Balaton.
