Monday, March 01, 2004

Hello everyone!

Finally we have the registrationforms ready for our Summercamp in Poland july 04. Please book as soon as possible, especially if you want a hotelroom as the spaces are limited and the interest is huge! Besides it is cheaper if you book before 1st of May.
You can get the Registrationforms by emailing me (irina_b@ofir.dk) and they will alos soon be available on our brand new website, take a look at http://chillconnection.net/poland/

Just to refresh your memory our gathering will take place from Saturday the 24th of July till Friday the 6th of August.
The main aims will be first of all for youth from the eastern part of Europe to meet with the youth from the western part of Europe. Together we’ll have 13 days of fun, doing latihan, testing, getting to know each others' cultures and second; work towards a Youth progam for World Congress in Spain 2005!
Don’t forget about the Fundraising Event in London 13/3-04. Information can be found under news on our homepage.

Please note that eventhough youth is our main focus EVERYONE IS WELCOME, both adults, young people and children! This is a great chance to meet people from all around Europe and enjoy a cheap holiday in the beautiful polish countryside.

Lots of Love

The Organisingteam

Subud Youth POLAND SUMMER CAMP 2004
Posted by IrinaBoersma
Sunday, December 28, 2003

Next summer an exciting youth gathering in preparation for
World Congress 2005 will be held in Poland.

The main aim is to have a gathering where:

1) Young people from the eastern part of Europe can meet the young ones from
the western part of Europe, a european get-together :)

2) We can do brainstorming with the young people in preparation for the WORLD
CONGRESS 2005 and find out:

a) what activities/workshops they want to do and would like to see at the WORLD CONGRESS, make a list of that we can give to the organising team of the Congress, to help and support them in facilitating these needs/demands.

b) find out what is important to the young people for Subud as an organisation
(/older members) to hear, and pass it on to the youth coordinators before the
congress.

The event will most likely take place near Olzstyn in the Masuria area in Poland from
26/7-04 to 02/08-04 (for pictures see www.lesne-wrota.pl but beware-the website is in polish)
It will be a great week of meeting new people, learning about new cultures
and HAVING FUN!

Everyone is welcome!!!!!!!

More information will be sent out closer to the event.

We are still working on it, and if anyone wants to help with organising
workshops, translation or just want to hear more about it, you can contact me
at irina_b@ofir.dk
We will need help with organising workshops and things like that, so if you have something exciting you want to teach others, please don't hesitate to email me!

We are also organising fundraising events to be able to fund the eastern
european youth, who don't have enough money to travel but want to come to the
gathering. We are planning for the first fundraising event to take place in London in January 2004.

BE THERE OR BE SQUARE

Young Subud members from all five continents are already organising their equipment and air tickets in preparation for the YES Quest in the Australian Desert this August. Many are embarking on the challenge of raising the necessary funds to attend and some are negotiating time off their studies.

If itís anything like the first Quest in Kalimantan, they are heading for an exciting, challenging and life changing experience.

[Benedict here:
this is a long one... another chapter of the memoirs...
while I'm at it, please give me some feedback on this: does anyone care that I'm spouting my life experiences? That I'm using servers as a forum for my blatherings... please at least three to five people tell me what you think of this... and give me some differing opinions, too]

I have never before felt so very heartbroken to leave a place.

Trying to figure out what to write about my trip to Colorado this past week -- went to Boulder, then Crestone, then from there back here to Carbondale Illinois... READ ON
