Post subject: GLOBAL MONKEY
This our beloved monkey Pickles. He has just returned from Betty Ford Center (rehab). Since his return home all Pickles does is pace his room swearing under his breath.
Pickles used to be Doctor. A handsome monkey he was very popular with the ladies, an accomplished chef and rhodes scholar (Dr.) Pickles held the world in the palm of his hand at the age of six Pickles graduated sigma cum laude from monkey medical school.With a small bank loan he set up Boise,s first monkey medical clinic. Heralded as a monkaterian and philanthropist Boise,s social elite welcomed Pickles to there ranks. And though the sun shone brightly on our Pickles its illumination was to be equally brief. A bad night in a borrowed porche with the underage daugter of the chief of surgery, Pickles was pulled over for wreckless driving the police report described Pickles as beligerant and in possession of several controlled substances. The arresting officer was quoted as saying " I was going to dismiss the whole thing until he hurled excrement at me crying monkey , monkey , your the monkey!!!"
Now all he does is smoke and watch soap operas. Here is a monkey desperatly seeking a new beginning.Wont you help him? We would like to send Pickles on a journey of self discovery. If you would like Pickles to come for a visit just sign up, when he arrives document your time together with a photograph and post it here. Then send him on to the next person on the list. Please keep Pickles sober you dont want that monkey on your back. We have attached a photo of Pickles he really is a nice monkey to have around.

Send him to me in Beijing. I'll probably be going to Qingdao in Shandong Province soon, if not I'll take a picture of him in Tian'anmen or the Summer Palace - some obvious Beijing landmark.

Here are photos of Pickles and I in Tian’anmen Square. I was feeling a tad self-conscious carrying a plastic bag and a stuffed sock monkey. I had every reason to be picked up for being NUTS.
We decided to give Mao Zedong’s mausoleum a miss - no dis to O Great Leader, more probably he now seeks to rest in peace.
This is Shittles, sorry Pickles and I, some way in front of the Gu Gong or the Forbidden City (south of Tian’anmen Square) with Mao’s Image adorning its entrance. Pickles had by this time become a bit lippy about the dull weather so I decided to stick a two-finger gun to his head to put him in his place.
A bit of Monkey Abuse later this is Pickles feeling the immense sense of responsibility outside the Great Hall of the People. He had just been instated as a National People’s Deputy for Heilongjiang province. Oh and you’ll be forgiven for assuming I need to do something with my balding head. Fast!
Finally, at the north end of Tian’anmen Sqaure is Qianmen or Front Gate, this is situated to the back of Mao’s Mausoleum.
Apart from the dull weather Pickles had a wail of a time today, and has decided to improve on his past antics and seeks a life of wholesome personal development. His next stop on his journey of self-realisation is the Nederlands.
Pickles is coming your way safe and sound soon Yasmina!

and apparently, pickles had been eating nothing but strange exotic chinese dishes whilst staying with harun. things like chicken feet, ducks tongues, beef intestines, etc, so pickles was quite desperate for some pizza or burger or fish n chips.

Thanks so much for having Pickles around for a visit, Its nice to see hes is being well taken care of and its always nice when family can get together. Although Ive heard Pickles can get a little rowdy with his cousin I hope he wasnt any trouble.
I do believe he is on his way to Vitor in Columbia now.Does his trip end there with Vitor? Will any other brave person take this monkey on?

i saw pickles very briefly on BBC; he was sitting amongst the portuguese crowds cheering the portuguese team on against england and netherlands. from what i hear, he is having fun watching Euro2004 with Halinah Martins.
after that i hear he is going to the poland youth camp. i hope someone will post pictures soon.

Unfortunately Pickles didn't make it on time to come with me to Colombia and Ecuador. I WONDER WHOSE FAULT IS THAT!!
Pickles is now at the hands of the girl holding the banana in the above picture.

Hello everyone, I am very honered to be bring news from our beloved travelling monkey Pickles. I was very sad to leave him in Budapest - we had such a good time together....
what happened was, he came along with Vitor to the Polandcamp, he went a bit crazy there and got involved in a fight with a garbagebinmonster on the last night (he is too embarrased, btu if i blackmail him a bit maybe we can get pictures) he survived THANK GOD.... That little troublemaker!
So afterwards he came with me and lovely Silvia from portugal to warsaw, krakow and finally Budapest. Wow we had a good time, I can tell you he is a very charming monkey! Lots of ladyfriends....
after a week in budapest he decided to go visit Sofia Dickie in Vienna and instead of coming with me to Rome (where i am now in an internetcafe) he stayed there and will go with Silvia to Amsterdam and finally POrtugal.
We have pictures to upload, but i left my cable in my other bag, so you have to be patient.
Pickles said HI and that he is ok, but a bit tired of travelling in a backback (maybe that is why he chose to stay with silvia who has a suitcase ON WHEELS)

Well, Mr.Pickles was very upset with myself because he was in Holland with Yasmina before and he didn't want to go there again! Maybe he was just sick of traveling with me and missed Irina a lot. So as he couldn't go to Rome alone anymore he decided to go with gorgeous Sofia Dickie to Israel. Hope Sofia didn't forget him in Vienna. Well, if she did he is probably having fun with Fardyiah Dickie ( she's a very good tour guide 
)I asked Sofia to answer right away and tells us all about this long journey of our charming monkey!
In the name of all, Pickles is in Vienna with Sofia!

Fresh news about Pickles! Sofia Dickie just told me that Pickles is safe at her house. She took him to Israel. Lucky monkey!!!! She took 2 good photos but on her friend's camera. Since she is very busy she can't come online often so she will put it here as soon as she can catch them at MSN. Yasmina if you want to send her an email, email me and I'll give you her contact. Hi Pickles,
I haven't heard from you in a while so I hope you get this message in time.
We would like to invite you home for X-mas. The children miss you. Not to mention that we could really use a reliable sitter so that we can get some stuff done around here. So how about taking a month off your free-wheeling lifestyle, and come home!
As for fans of Pickles don't worry I will keep you updated on his holiday adventures and he will be off again after the first of the year.

Dear Bella
A friend and I in Beijing had such a good time taking him around in 2004. And I made an extra special effort to assure his safe transit to his next stop with Yasmina, and as the former posts in this forum show she treated him with the utmost care. Other kindred travelers also paid extra due care and attention for the welfare of our woolen friend.
It appears he could be any number of places from South America, Eastern Europe to Israel………
I fear that what I am about to say, will be particularly distressing, but perhaps it’s very necessary. There come times in life when we have to accept stark possibilities, perhaps for many valuable reasons. What I am trying to say is that you may have to prepare for the worst:
Perhaps this is the fate of our little friend.
God Willing, some lazy bastard hasn’t managed to send him back to you.
Whoever now knows as to the whereabouts of Pickles, please remind the present custodian of Pickles to email Bella and get her address to send him on.
Pickles return leg of his journey, back to Bella, is long overdue.
