Subud Youth Help Needed to set up Youth Latihans! ( 1621 Reads )

Since positive testing at Innsbruck that ordinary Subud youth could benefit from a separate Youth World Latihan, it has been a struggle to gain interest. We need people to help co-ordinate our efforts and spread the word! At World Congress in Innsbruck, 2005, my friends and I participated in testing about how Subud Youth can really find our own identities and grow. Afterwards, we decided to hold a Youth Latihan towards the end of Congress. About 70 young people showed up, and it was probably the most powerful Latihan experience I've been to for a long time - all that youthful energy flowing in the air!! Since then, we feel it would be extremely beneficial to hold a World Youth Latihan, in exactly the same format as World Latihans - in our own homes, at a fixed time each month - I propose the 29th of the month, at varying times to give the youth in every time zone a chance to participate at a reasonable hour. It will take a while to get going, but we really need the help of a range of people - writers, artists, editors for regional and national Subud publications, and group chairmen/women and helpers all over the world to spread the world and advertise. I also need someone to help sort out the difficulties with time zones and publish coherent times so that everyone can participate at once. It will take a degree of organisation which may be difficult, but in the long run I know it will be really beneficial to the youth of Subud. After all, we are the future! I'd love to hear from anyone who could help out, or who has any ideas or insights that could really help us. If anyone would like to discuss any of this with me, my e-mail address is:  frozenjupiter@hotmail.com

Thanks for listening!!
